Rita Adam was born in Moscow, Russia. In 1972 she was graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute (State Academy).

in 1986 she took her Ph.D. in Architecture in 1986 and was practicing architecture until 1979 when she came to the idea that she was rather gravitating to artistic activity than to architecture.

First success in her artistic career came in 1992. It was a participation with her colorful tapestries in the group show in Middenbeemster in Central Park.

​

As she was always sensitive to the new technologies, in early 90s she started actively using computer as a main tool to create her digital paintings.

Using computer software, however, is just a supplementary step in creating her highly detailed and elaborated oil paintings.   

​

Nowadays, Rita Adam works and live between Moscow and Prugue.
